Martin ValovskyMartin Valovsky
CEO
Martin joined Fleming Europe as a Sales Executive and after 5 years he has become the CEO of the same company; a position he has been serving now for more than 2 years. “Fleming Europe has always been favoring internal growth to external hiring. It is not just because of this value that I am now enjoying my dream job which fascinates me by the opportunities that pop up every day. Though no success is possible without a handful of failures preceding it, I have never given up.” A path to his current position lead Martin through Social Economic Relations studies at Alexander Dubcek University in Trencin, via Sales Executive, Sales Manager Slovakia, Sales Director Budapest and Managing Director EMEA.
Martin considers every day as an exceptional moment; either spending it as a cowboy at 15, riding his bike from Slovakia to Caspian Sea and back or as a CEO. He is simply motivated by life.

Your advise to a beginning manager?
Your role is to improve people not to give orders.

Eduard VaculaEduard Vacula
CFO
Getting the job done on time made Eduard aCFO  in 2010. He has always aimed high, even literally. Climbing Bolivia´s highest peak turned into the most challenging hike of his life. One day he can imagine himself running a mountain cottage in the Tatras in Slovakia. But nowadays he enjoys the young and dynamic atmosphere of Fleming Europe which requires finding the right approach to manage, coach and drive different personalities. ´You cannot succeed without the support of your team, which you need to build on trust, respect and common growth.´
Eduard Vacula finished Finance Banking Investments in 2001 at the University of Economics Bratislava. His career started in 2001 in PricewaterhouseCoopers as a junior auditer. After four years of auditing clients mainly from the financial industry he joined the newly created department of transaction services (mergers and acquisitions). In the next four years he was leading the department of 12 people. He left PwC in 2008 and for a year and a half he worked as a group CFO for a group of medical centers in Slovakia, Czech republic and Romania called Iscare. In December 2010 he joined Fleming.

What was your most exceptional summer job?
Camp Takajo, Maine, USA – helping in a kitchen cooking for 600 people. This experience was probably one of those when he applied his favourite quote from Hitchhiker´s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams: ´Do not panic!´

Silvester PullmanSilvester Pullman
Managing Director
‘The conference business is about life long education, exploration of new ideas and meeting inspirational people who can influence both clients and us from Fleming in the same way. And that is the most amazing thing about our job’, expresses Silvester himself.
Silvester graduated from the University of Economics in Bratislava in 2003 and a year later he joined Fleming as a Junior Sales Executive. It has been a long way for a small town boy to his current job title through positions of Delegate & Sponsorship Sales, Producer, Production Director, Regional Director. ‘I liked every second of it!’
Silvester enjoys building and developing Fleming’s personnel into family-like teams with positive attitudes because it is a particularly positive attitude and hard work that always brings results. His leadership skills have been tested in offices in Bratislava, Barcelona, Budapest, Amsterdam, Cleveland and Kuala Lumpur. During his career he had the opportunity to work & live in many different countries while experiencing different cultures. ‘I have learned that regardless of background, culture, or anything else – people are great. I love my job because of the endless opportunity to work with young motivated individuals who want to change the world. Because such people do not believe in problems but in solutions – failure is just an unfinished effort.’

What do you wish for Fleming Europe?
My desire is to make Fleming the No. 1 conference organizer – and I believe that this is only achievable by keeping the customer on the top of our mind at all times.

Darius SlavikDarius Slavik
Director, Production
Event management fascinated Darius by the concept of transforming an idea into reality in 6 months. ‘It brings satisfaction to see 100+ senior level executives in a room for a conference that stemmed from an idea that we started working on 6 months ago. For almost 4 years now there has not been a single moment to be bored in this job – it keeps me busy and that is what I like about it,’ explains Darius.
Darius Slavik finished International Relations & Diplomacy at University of Matej Bel in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia and started in the company as a junior producer in 2008 in the telecoms industry. Darius produced successful events on telco, finance and cross-industry topics where many of them were conferences organized for the first time without previous experience. Becoming a production director on January 1, 2011 has made Darius responsible for the whole EU production.
